    Our story began in , developed from a proud nation of rowers united by water. Generations have been drawn to those same waters — to challenge themselves or to claim the podium — uniting under the emblem of Rowing Canada Aviron. In the Canadian Association of Amateur Oarsmen (CAAO), now Rowing Canada, was founded. On Ap the Kingston Rowing Club was founded under the leadership of Mayor E.J.B. Pense who was elected the first President. Construction of a new clubhouse was commenced at the foot of William Street.
